1. Write in Google Docs
Each tab in your Doc becomes a page. Headings, photos, lists and tables work the way you'd expect, and anyone you share the Doc with can pitch in.
PageBison designs, builds and hosts a website from the Doc you write. Your words stay exactly as you wrote them. Edit the Doc, preview, publish.
Each tab in your Doc becomes a page. Headings, photos, lists and tables work the way you'd expect, and anyone you share the Doc with can pitch in.
PageBison turns your Doc into a designed site, with a big welcome banner, rows of cards, photo galleries, quotes and contact forms. You see every page before anything goes live.
Your site goes live at yourname.bison.page or on your own domain. To update it, edit the Doc, preview, and publish again.
PageBison's AI only decides how your site looks: which section each part of your Doc goes in, and the layout, colors, spacing and fonts. Your text is copied straight from the Doc onto the page, so it can't be reworded. What you typed is what your visitors read.
Type a note like “three across, dark background” or “photo on the left” under a section's name in your Doc, and the next preview follows it. Shade a table cell to set your brand colors, or name a font for your headings. Notes shape the design and never appear on your site, and if PageBison can't do something you asked for, the preview tells you.
Every example on this page was built by PageBison from a short Google Doc.
Soft colors and friendly serif headings. Here, a neighborhood bakery.
Quiet, bookish pages that put the words first. Here, a writer's portfolio.
Big type and strong bands of color. Here, a school board campaign.
Connect a domain you own, like yourname.com, with step-by-step help for your domain provider, or start with a free yourname.bison.page address.
Editing the Doc never changes your live site. You see a preview first, and visitors get exactly the version you published.
Every published version is saved. Put an earlier one back in one click.
Paste your website's address and PageBison copies its pages into a new Google Doc to start from.
Pages are plain HTML with no JavaScript, so they load quickly on any phone. PageBison checks that text colors are easy to read and reminds you to describe your photos for screen readers.
Make sites for your business, your friends, your clients or your causes, each from its own Doc.
Update your hours, menu and prices in the Doc you already keep.
Volunteers fix typos in the Doc, and only you can publish. Link a Donate button to any donation page, and start a line with “Paid for by” to get a proper disclaimer box.
A clean home for your work that you update like any other draft.
Clients edit the words in a Doc they already understand, and you look after the design.

Only the Docs you choose or share with it. It can't open the rest of your Drive.
Your content is a Google Doc in your own Drive. It stays yours whether you use PageBison or not.
PageBison is a small, independent project by Mike Estes, built first for his own sites and his friends'. It's opening up a few sites at a time.
PageBison is free during the invite-only beta. If that changes, beta users will hear about it well ahead of time.
We're opening PageBison up a few sites at a time. Tell us what you'd like to build, and we'll email you when your invite is ready.
